Import plays from images, PDFs, or video

Turn photos, screenshots, playbook PDFs, game film, or a Hudl breakdown into football plays.

What you can import

Importing is for football plays. You can bring in:

  • Photos or screenshots of a drawn play.
  • A playbook PDF. Pick the pages to import.
  • Video. Pick the frame at the snap.
  • A Hudl breakdown export (CSV or XLSX).

Free teams can import 3 plays in total.

Import

  1. In Plays, select the import button (Import plays) next to New play, or drop files anywhere on the page.
  2. Choose Offense or Defense.
  3. Drop your files, or choose them.
  4. Snack uses AI to read each play and flags anything to check. Fix anything it missed, and select Create play.

Import several files at once to review and create the plays in one batch. To finish a batch later, select the plays-to-review count at the top of Plays, like 4 plays to review.

From a playbook

Open a playbook, select More playbook actions, and choose Import from image.
